The new mesa package did not resolve the issue for me. I reverted to the kernel command line switches.

I apologize but I’m not that adept in kernel debugging. I do use the lts kernel, same as the OP in that thread. It may be related to the lts kernel.
Also wanted to add that this is a pretty old C2D machine with an r5 340x gpu. I use it to run Dosbox for some retro gaming.

You can try to install and use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-lts61
You've a southern island chip, so alternatively you could try https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AMDGPU … mmand_line
