Yeah, I'm not sure why it just worked in plasma 5. Probably because I set it up before hand in another DE prior to switching (I am new to kde, last time I tried it was kde3 and it was buggy for me). The gtk.css stuff should get handled by either plasma or kde-gtk-config or whatever. I should probably file a bug there.
