Re: Nvidia Grid Drivers install

First of ll i find it wierd that this driver of mine refuses to work without the nvidia-utils package. What does it contain?

The Nvidia proprietary driver as packaged by archlinux puts everything (except opencl) needed for graphics in nvidia-utils : the nvidia kernel module, OpenGL, Vulkan, tools (nvidia-smi)  etc.

Your hw/sw setup appeasrs to require very specific versions of those to function,

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: Nvidia Grid Drivers install

Why are you intalling nvidia-utils itfp?
You're not installing any nvidia kernel modules though the package manager, but your grid version so there should™ be no necessity to install nvidia-utils except to provide a generic opengl-driver/vulkan-driver dependency?
