Re: System crashes directly during or after boot

I set the default BIOS settings with no overclock, I will experiment with voltages too. I have a cheap power strip, can it cause problems? I would change that too...

Yes, but more likely to burn down your house than causing this kind of problem - the voltages and currents you're dealing with are ridiculous in comparism with eg. a hair dryer and there's a moderating PSU inbetween. Sure, it could have a freak impact, but I'd look at the actual system configuration first.

Re: System crashes directly during or after boot

Arch Linux and tty mode works with no problems or crash. It may be a Xorg bug?

Re: System crashes directly during or after boot

Have you tried running *only* X11 (and maybe an xterm)?
You'll typically have different usage patterns wrt CPU load and RAM demand between a console login and a GUI session?

Re: System crashes directly during or after boot

The problem is caused by a faulty CPU. What other CPU do you suggest for this motherboard and other stuff?

Windows 11 Installation crashes with BSOD, that's ridiculous !!

No, it's not.
Don't overclock the system.
Disable XMP, use teh most conservative RAM timings you can, disable PBO.
If that doesn't stabilize the system, start to feed more voltage to the CPU, but also just run memtes86+ for a day or so for good measure.

Standard disclaimer: 3rd link below. Mandatory.
Disable it (it's NOT the BIOS setting!) and reboot windows and linux twice for voodo reasons.

You've hardly any options beyond the ryzen-roulette, do you?
So unless you can RMA for a replacement (which will be the same, I guess), before investing into another CPU I'd look into stabilizing the present hardware.
There's no guarantee another CPU will perform better - notably since the the problem is arguably be the boards configuration of it.
