You'll have to try, because ifff you're experiencing stability problems at all, they might be very much specific to the host HW.

Do you need the graphical front-end on the guest itself? If not, then run the guest headless in VBox or Qemu. Both perform well. Qemu takes a little more time to set up, but VirtualBox skirts the line on Open Source if you need the Oracle "Extension Pack"; so be sure to understand their "Personal Use" clause if using that Pack on VBox. Both can be managed on the host with command line tools.
