Re: [Bug/workaround]ALSA produces sound, Pipewire doesn't

Got it, anyways, Thanks everyone smile

Edit:
for now I’ll stick with 0.5.9 which works reliably on my ALC236.

Re: [Bug/workaround]ALSA produces sound, Pipewire doesn't

I added "module_blacklist=snd_hda_codec_alc269" to the kernel command line, by editing /etc/default/grub, then running "sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg". This solved the issue for me.

Re: [Bug/workaround]ALSA produces sound, Pipewire doesn't

Glad it solved for you, however, my case is different, this is on ALC236, and the issue appears to be w/ Pipewire routing/regression rather than the codec/driver itself, so blacklisting isn’t applicable here.

--reporting, requesting the moderators to close this thread as it is identified as upstream bug, hoping it will be fixed in future, and currently solved(at least for me) by workarounds mentioned earlier; to avoid necro-posting/clutter
Thanks
