I use startx, as like to do some expiments. Yesterday found new for me WM - awesome, really like it, radically good wm smile

I like the .bash_profile way but I can't suspend when I do that, if anyone knows why. I use the same one listed about 10 posts above. Until then I use startx for xfce.

I like slim and with the same background as my E17 desktop it just all flows together when I login.
I used a daemon once with an enlightenment desktop and it kept restarting.  Long time ago and probably something I did wrong but it's hard to teach old dogs new tricks.
