I like the tabs but only look good with strong colors, lighter pastels don't work that well.

You could make it an option, clearlooks, selected shaded or button like.

Updated repo with Compiz Fusion.
You have to do this in order to upgrade:

# pacman -Rcs compiz-git
# pacman -Sy compiz-git ccsm-git compiz-icon-git compiz-fusion-plugins-main-git compiz/emerald-git compiz/emerald-themes-git

and install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-git if you want them
