From the doc, it doesn't seem to work on x86_64. I haven't tried building it though.

EDIT: I think the latest versions have 64bit support. I'll give it a shot.

It would be nice to get the texlive-packages now that they have been moved to community.

They are both available in [community] already. (I'm using Geany for development as well.)

How about an installation package with dependencies for the Citrix Client? <sigh> I'd maintain it if I could get it working in the first place!

I really miss scsh, I'm even considering switching back to Arch32. The problem is that it isn't just a build problem, the vm has to be hacked to make it work on 64bits sad

Last time I tried, scipy wasn't building on x86_64.

Re: Community64 request page

Perhaps dvdstyler could be updated (1.5.1 -> 1.6.0)? It's broken since the x264/ffmpeg update (SO bump).

I done this some months ago.  As you can see at the scipy aur page I've sent an the PKGBUILD to the maintainer.  Unfortunately he did not respond.

However, the only thing which has to be managed is adding -fPIC to the compile flags, otherwise the static libs can't be linked into shared libs by the build scripts.

If you plan to work on scipy for arch64 I'm willing to help you.  I have to review and test the PKGBUILD files for blas, numpy and scipy before I release them.

Best,
-- Maik

Re: Community64 request page

It would be nice if man-db could be updated to 2.5.0. The old version seems to be broken due to being linked to a now non-existing file (since db got updated) - http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 93#p328793.

Hmmm, do we put packages that depend on lib32 libraries in community?

Edit:  I see sfarkxtc is in community64 with these and hamachi requires them but has not been put in commnity64 yet.

Re: Community64 request page

I am having problems running JAVA applets on Arch64 from remote site -- pull-down menus are black and no text is readable. I contacted tech support and they adviced to upgrade for latest JRE ver. 6 upgrade 5 from SUN site (current release is ver. 6 upgrade 3).

Is it possible to upgrade it and where should I write about it?

Re: Community64 request page

Well, jre is not a community package...  The package has been flagged out of date.  Perhaps a polite email to the maintainer will speed up the update.  Otherwise you can use abs. Most packages are just updating the version and md5sum.  Not sure about JRE though.
