Re: TeX Live packages

In that case I would strongly advise you to read The TeXbook, LaTeX. A Document Preparation System and/or The LaTeX Companion first; otherwise you will probably get lost sooner or later... TeX is a beautiful typesetting system, but you really have to learn it, before you can produce anything nice. wink

I do not agree. At least with LaTeX you can typeset beautiful documents without much knowledge. Reading l2short or some Wikis, and you can do the most tasks. I never read the TeXbook or the Lamport. It may help, but it is not necessary.

Re: TeX Live packages

I've installed Chakra 64bit, a new ditribution based on Archlinuxand withe the same repositories, and I tried to
write a letter using Lyx and the koma-letter2 template, but I get this error:

LaTeX Warning: \KOMAScriptVersion is `2006/07/30 v2.95b KOMA-Script',
               but `2009/07/24 v3.04a KOMA-Script' was expected!

misspelled it (e.g., `\hobx'), type `I' and the correct

and I'll forget about whatever was undefined.

I tried also to use the koma-book template and it seems to work.
