Re: Frugalpkg - Frugalware's pacman frontend ported to Arch (experimental)

Maybe time to fork frugalpkg? rename it to Archpkg?

No. I dropped my work on Frugalpkg as it's now obsolete. Now I'm working on porting Gfpm. I made some progress, but I still don't know when it'll be done.

The alpm backend for PackageKit is also interesting (even though it's incomplete). But I prefer to port/improve existing code instead of writing new code.

Any recent news on how well  the gfpm port is doing?

I'd say it's 90% done, I finished writing the libpacman<->libalpm wrapper, some stuff is still missing (clearing the package cache, search). The other problem is that the current alpm doesn't export some symbols, but this will probably be fixed in the next alpm release (it's already fixed in git).
