Re: October 2007 Screenshots

As i encountered some problems with pypanel and some kde apps (just try it out: install pypanel in openbox and run konversation afterwards) i had to look for an alternative.

Tint looked nice, so all i needed now was some systray. visibility is kinda neat, but always shows all tasks, which is too much for me, i only want a systray.

I found stalonetray (http://stalonetray.sourceforge.net/) which works wonderfully with openbox. Using the -w option makes it start as a dock and openbox docks-settings do the rest. As you need marigins anyway when using tint, its a very nice combo!

and here a small screen:

Stumpwm with
1)  Emacs (Slime, Emms, Erc), rxvt-unicode and htop in Scratchpad-Group (Just renamed it to EmacsPad for obvious reasons...).
2) Stumpish (shell-prompt for Stumpwm) and Firefox/Conkeror

I have to give you props for being the only StumpWM poster I've seen in these threads.

I always loved stump but found it weird to work with. So I stick to ratpoison

Maybe I should add another screenie to convince you that Stumpwm is REALLY useable.
Typing "weather" in the command prompt and....

Re: October 2007 Screenshots

This is my first Archlinux, and my first time using Gnome. (for my 1 year on Linux I have used xubuntu xfce4)

The gtk-2.0 is an old theme I had wrote for the engines "xfce".

Icons are a remake of the UbuntuStudio icons, just made black using Inkscape.

Swiftfox theme is default using my gtkrc, and my black UbuntuStudio icons, as well as a userChrome.css for the tab-bar gradient. I also theme my Thunderbird with matching icons.

The wallpaper is made with GIMP using a graffiti piece from the artist !!!Dalek!!!.

The panel image is also made with GIMP using using another graffiti piece from the artist !!!Dalek!!!.
