I really suck at this, but, you know "all the cool kids are doing it"...

Okay, I'll join the wallpaper party. This one is a themed wallpaper. The theme is, of course, the Archer. smile

Another one. This time, the Archer with his faithful sidekick Pingoo. smile j/k about the name. lol

Here's a new concept of mine (read concept, forget about the color):

A quick reworking:

I've left it a bit late to work this up into a full submission, but I was playing about with my svgs and rather liked the way it turned out.

Re: Post your Arch logo concepts here:

Well, I have lots of studying and homework to do lately, so I didn't really have the time to really come up with a logo that I thought was close to perfect, but this is at least what I had managed to create in the little sparetime I've had hmm I know it's not that polished ..

archlinux_default.png
Booring default blue theme.

archlinux_lime.png
New lime colour.. Quite typical geeky colour tongue ..

I would like to translate the Arch Way into "By The Geek For The Geek" wink .. That's how we like it tongue ..

I'd like to have a few comments before I go on with it. I didn't do much with the type... I just used the old one to give an idea.

http://www.kutek.net/ - ibendiben, exactly what we don't need here is blatant copyright violations.  That design is ripped straight off this guy's page.

That is the reason I didn't submit it... I couldn't find out if it was his own design or maybe a 'known' alternative. Basically I only just found out about the trace function of inkscape then... I posted it in all my enthusiasm. big_smile

Re: Post your Arch logo concepts here:

In the future, please cite your references, even if you didn't submit it to the official contest.  "Idea grabbed from here: <url>" is the proper way - without this it makes it look as though you're claiming the work as your own.

Only if the original author permits it, or under the fair use clause (I don't know what exactly it permits).

Anodized aluminum would be a matte black finish. The silver part of the chrome is more just machined stainless steel. Looks nice though, good job cerise.
