Why'd mine get deleted?  It was my desktop screenshot, not my laptop screenshot which I posted earlier.

Ion eh? I am sure I can make awesome look like  that. Whatever it is though, I like how it is set up.

You can't, unless awesome has patches for other layouts, in dwm you can't do what he did with the two terminals under MOC

Re: November 2007 Screenshots

Something weird though: when I quit vimperator with "ZZ" or ":res", or anything that's supposed to keep my tabs open for next start, upon restarting all those tabs are blank (about:blank).

Same for me here - but since i always start about:blank it never came across me before...

Edit: I wrote a short article about Ion some month ago at my blog

jellywerker wrote:

Thanks mienensuchkind.

Freigeist: What wm is that? and is that fibonacci tiling? Shiny! Also, how well does Elinks work for your day to day browsing?

Yes, it is Ion3. Elinks works for day to day browsing...obviously except for something like deviantart smile
Ion3 and cli-apps help focusing on the work to do in my opinion. The older I become, the more important simplicity is for me.

its ion. im about to try it again for the 437583 time but i wont get discouraged by the complexity of the customization now. (if i keep saying it in the end im gonna believe it).

Doh! What is tough about customizing Ion? May I help?

No need to be jealous, I love Ion, but its a bit like the change from windows to linux. At first I loved Linux for its "being different", then I recognized that some things are much more efficient and I booted Linux as often as my windows and finally I stopped using Windows and switched to Linux in general. It's sometimes  a roundabout way, but finally you fell in love smile

I think vim could be as fascinating but I'm still stuck to nano...

The icons are from the arch-bubble-icons AUR package (which I happen to maintain). The backdrop is from EVE-Online.

Still hacking up rob's xmonad.hs..  If you are going to try out xmonad, go ahead and check out the darcs version.  Much coolness has been added.
