I guess the trick is to use the script for fvwm he's showing in gvim in the very same screenshot.

I think the script only rules window transparency.
What mienensuchkind wants to know is how Mutze manages to modify the sites/browser layout like that.
I guess an app exists but I do not know its name...
(I'm curious as well...)

Exactly... Could it be a very extensive configuration of the addon "Stylish"?

I like this also. Could you share your .conkyrc please?
Also does anyone no of a way to get pypanel to be in the background. So when I maximize a window it maximizes all the way to the screens edge instead of only to where pypanel is?

Great shot, what's this app in lower right corner?

mutze13: Yes! Please share what theme you have for firefox and how you managed to get it to be transparent. I'd like to duplicate that effect on my machine.
thanks in advance!

It is Stylish for the browser-layout and an addon called Compact Menu -Firebird. I've uploaded The rdf-file for stylish here(right-click->save Link as). Simply put it in your firefox-profile.
For the layout of the pages you hve to disallow sides to use their own colors. You can do this in your Preferences.

The transparency is managed by transset-df wich is bound to a key-binding and called by FvwmTrans(Fvwm-Module) and the script shown in gvim.

@mutze13: thank you for that stuff!
EDIT: still isnt perfect... for example the left boxes in this forum (where the avatar and username is) have a light background and light text.... same problem for you? are there easy fixes for bugs like that?

It's not a particular type of terminal but an application called screen (or "gnu screen") that's run from a terminal and allows you to have multiple shells opened in parallel in a single terminal window. It's a bit tricky to configure at first (if you search these forums you'll definitely find some sample configuration files that should get you started) but it's worth learning, imo - especially if you use the command line a lot.

Well, so it's what i tought. So the nice display (mpd display, program names display..) comes from the configuration file ?
I'll give a look to those files - "screen" is a bad name for searches ^^'
(Thanks)

I wish I could help you with your pypanel request. The only thing I could think of is to change the Misc options in .pypanelrc Above = from "1" to "0." This says that when enabled the panel is always above the other apps. But when you maximize your windows it still won't hide the panel, as you already stated. Have you tried looking at pypanel's website for clues?
