Re: New logo on Distrowatch.com

The new logo and layout are awesome, congratulations.

One note: I would go with less white on the background for areas of intense reading (like the news and the forum), in order to avoid eye strain.

The "official" palette is as follows:

Primary Blue
RGB 23/147/209
HEX #1793d1 (Websafe #1199cc)
Pantone 2925

Secondary Grey
RGB 77/77/77
HEX #4d4d4d (Websafe #555555)
Pantone 445

Wow.. that _is_ quite a difference compared to what you had in here. I actually liked the original better, but sadly there is a reason for changing it. You wouldn't mind sharing your "green thoughts", asking just out of curiosity?

The header looks fine but the colors of those boxes do not match very well. And perhaps something can be done to make the big white areas (esspecially at the top right) less boring.

The top right *ahem* SHOULD have ads, unless you're blocking the precious ad revenue for arch?

Does Arch get revenue on display or on click ? I just white listed Arch further to your remark but if the revenue comes from clicks, I may consider blocking ads again as I never ever read them...

Re: New logo on Distrowatch.com

The darker color palette is great! The one on distrowatch seems much too neon (as you mentioned earlier). Although, I was rather fond of the old Starfleet-lookalike Arch Logo... it feels like we've gone from Sci-Fi to Medieval now with this Arrowhead logo. smile
