Re: Compiz Fusion Git & ProjectM Repository

Could you please post the line you use to launch compiz?  Also, make sure the output of 'pacman -Qss compiz-git' is:

local/compiz-git 20080412-1 (compiz-fusion-git)

If it's not run an upgrade on your system and it should get the newest package...
The only time I was able to reproduce your problem was when I downgraded the compiz-git package but left everything else the same.

hmm  Sorry, I've fixed it now.  Just run an update on your system and everything should work swimmingly.

Re: Compiz Fusion Git & ProjectM Repository

What's this difference between this Compiz-Fusion and the one in the official repositories?

This is a build of the latest code being worked on.  It's considered "bleeding edge" and is completely untested, but with more features.

Added.  Use:  pacman -Sy simple-ccsm-git

Yes, you do.  Pacman might just ask you to replace it, or it may give you a conflict error.

Whoops, another mistake on my part.  I've fixed it and also updated all of the packages.

Re: Compiz Fusion Git & ProjectM Repository

Just a heads up for the 64 bit users....
With the latest updates in git, the wallpaper plugin has been merged into the plugins-extra package. [1]
To avoid any file conflicts, please uninstall the wallpaper plugin before upgrading.
Thanks smile

*Edit: This plugin has been moved into compiz-fusion-plugins-main

Sorry for the delay, I was setting up a permanent build system.  My updates should become a lot more regular now.

Also, there is likely going to be a conflict on this upgrade if you use 'makeblieve', you can resolve it by removing the wallpaper plugin before upgrading:

pacman -R compiz-fusion-plugin-wallpaper-git

That's a very strange error.  Does everything else work fine for you under compiz-fuison?  You could check out the compiz-fusion forum and website for more information.
Also, you could try out the simple-ccsm utility for configuring compiz.  It has fewer options but might work until we figure out why ccsm is crashing your system

pacman -Sy simple-ccsm-git

This has been fixed.  Those two plugins were actually moved into the official repos so they're no longer needed, but they were left referenced in my database.  I've removed them now.
