Wallpaper: Pepper Mono by Artgerm at Deviantart (modded). I added a colour line under the bmpanel.
Conky on top of pypanel

What kind of compositing are you using ?? I have big problems when using xcompmgr and conky it breaks, or is it some xcompmgr/conky configuration ?

howesome Theme, and screen as always.

Thanks.  Just xcompmgr.  I don't have a problem with it when using conky.  If it helps, try xcompmgr -cC -t-2 -l-3 -r3 -o.30

And in my conky

#own window to run simultanious 2 or more conkys
own_window  yes
own_window_transparent yes
own_window_type normal
own_window_hints undecorate,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager

@ vomix & upsidaisium, thank you smile

Pypanel, Openbox 3.4, and conky. Works for me!

I also keep Fedora installed setup as Gnome, Compiz-Fusion, and AWN as the panel. I generally only whip that out if I'm trying to impress some girls. Flaming hearts, anyone? wink

Re: February 2008 Screenshots

Switched back to Arch from Ubuntu a few days ago. I realised I can be bothered to set everything up manually and Ubuntu is too slow. I also switched from Gnome to Xfce at the same time. Now my PC is way faster than ever and my desktop is nice and minimal how I like it (even though Xfce isn't really designed to look like this):

@Borb:

would you mind pastebin 'ing your info script as the info scripts thread doesn't seem to have up-to-date copy anywhere.

Re: February 2008 Screenshots

I got these from the info script thread:

info.pl: http://pastebin.us/?show=f25826da5
logos.pl: http://pastebin.us/?show=f7665ff65

Just put them in the same directory. Seems to have a bit of a bug with adding too much space after Xfce4 Theme, I had a quick look but couldn't find the offending code.

that rocks.

1.  What is KDEMod?  I recently installed kde4 but quickly uninstalled; couldn't get its built in compositing features to work (ubuntu -- new machine Im going to have to try arch or go back to gentooo)

2.  what theme is that?  have you tried eclipse in it?  I find dark themes and eclipse dont play well together....

thanks, kdemod is a modularized kde for archlinux, you can check it out here

I never tried eclipse yet. I'm using qtcurve with the polyester window decor.

It looks truly beautiful and aesthetic. One of the few KDE snapshots applying to these two attributes I have ever seen.

Thanks for the wonderful compliment smile

That wallpaper goes way back with me, before I started using linux. I use to use it on my windows 95. recently I wanted to make it more practical to use, so I made it grey scale and filtered the pixels quite a bit. Then I added a tiny touch of color to match my color scheme. The result was a bit clothy, but I liked it. : )

That was due to my own ignorance. I use a unix version of Pro-E on my system for work and it's a total resource hog. At the time I thought it might take advantage of a extra large swap partition. Turns out, it really doesn't. I never taken the time to reclaim the wasted space.
