@silencer: it might be worth checking if all options could be compiled in and some ENV var or CLI arg makes the selection.

I am actually using these source packages now http://github.com/markc/kde-svn/tree/master and they might be slightly out of whack with the GoogleCode ones I was still using up till a few days ago.

I have a flu atm so anything beyond a copy n paste for me is out of the equation for another week or two.

I haven't used KDM since months, because of that Locale bug, so I can't really "confirm" it's broken

havent read the whole thread, but are you still building from trunk (4.4)?
because if, i would ask you to include this patch: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198315 for ppl to test.

If it works ok for users, this might be backported before 4.3 becomes final...

as this is a rather nasty bug (on my machine cpu usage was at 50% after ~3 hours) this would be great

Rasi: good idea but there are 8 files listed here http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=989347 and there is, as far as I can tell, no actual patch set(s) to apply. Perhaps if someone contacted Aaron and asked him nicely if he could provide a single unified diff then it could be tested by dozens of people within 24 hours.

I am using your repo for kde and I am on 4.4 but I still cannot load yahoo in kopete (I thought it was fixed) and what about the facebook plugin?

i tried it just now after update I cannot load the yahoo protocol and there id nothing for facebook, am I missing some libraries for yahoo?

@venky80: Last of the Wolves provides another set of source and binary packages for x86_64 that are probably better maintained than kde-svn because he uses them himself...

Hi Mark!

Could you add "taglib" to the provides for kdesupport? That would allow gstremer0.10-good-plugins to install on my system without having to hack its PKGBUILD every update. :-)

@atomopawn: I see, if a package demands a certain version for a dependency, that is "virtually" provided by some other package, then that the providing package must also supply the version info. taglib is a provided by kdesupport but I'll re-add "taglib=1.5". Building another kdesupport now.

Off-topic, eth-os-gui/xulrunner-nightly 3.6 will be provided daily from now on, and firefox-nightly will resume the 3.6 trunk as soon as we have firefox 3.5 in [testing]. I'm moving away from Qt apps but I'll keep providing arora (nightlies) for now.

@atomopawn: neither did I until you mentioned it and checked the dependencies of kdesupport and thought wtf, then the penny dropped... yes, I guess it worked because I just reinstalled gstreamer0.10-good-plugins and kdesupport without any errors. It might take a couple more hours for this new kdesupport to show up in the repo (I pulled it from the local build).

@venky80: cool. I didn't do anything so the upstream repo must have been tweaked.

FWIW there are 2 sets of kde-svn source packages here at http://github.com/markc/kde-svn/tree/master (the svn/ and stephan/ trees) so if anyone gets bored and wants to compare PKGBUILDs and provide any suggestions as to any improvements to either one... feel free

Oh, and there will be an iodbc/virtuoso free qt-copy 4.5.2 in another few hours too.

Also why amarok doesnt have last.fm plugin and where can i find facebook plugin for kopete?

Also does any of you use networkmanager plasmoid? I am not able to connect to WPA using it.
