The im program is emesene, it's only for MSN protocol. I wish I could've sticked with pidgin longer, but their MSN protocol hasn't shown much improvements in the last 2 years... Emesene on the other hand already supports status messages, offfline messaging etc.

What about showing personal message under each nickname? Did you tweak emesene's configuration?

Hi gigamo, gtk theme is a modified version of Elegant Brit, get it here, .  BG focus color on awesome is #3f5460.  my awesomerc is largely based on yours, so thank you for that

I have not modified my emesene, I'm just using the emesene-svn package from AUR.

My icon package is called ALLGREY, you can get it from gnome-look.

Maybe someone can explain to me why my gnome panel is the wrong color. I really don't know why it's flippin' out.

GTK theme is Rezlooks - Pastel, so is my emerald theme.

From the look of it, I think it is a bug in the theme file. Specifically in the panel.rc file. It seems that some GNOME applets ignores the colour setting in panel.rc file which result in wrong colour being used (I have run into this problem a lot recently).

You could try disable panel.rc file by comment out this line in your theme gtkrc file:

include "panel.rc"

Which should make panel use global colour setting.

How did you get conky to show calender events and would it be possible with google calender?
