Re: Arch's official language

Hello tongue

Nice idea anyway...  lol

But you guys... Have you studied the possibility to have the forum in a very nice langage that we currently use in a part of Switzerland ?

It's called "Schwytzerdütsch" and it's very nice to learn and to play with...

Strange sentence coming from a swiss french part user, isn't it  lol

Just change the locale to "de_DE.utf8" on your system (will become default anyway),
and you'll learn it soon enough.

Re: Arch's official language

Hallo tongue

what? i dont think this is a good idea at all! english is the main computers language, why do you want everything to be in german? this will only make archlinux less atractive for users.

i dont even know what i am pressing. isnt there a www.arch.us ? what about pacman, you'r gonna make it german too? and AUR?

Re: Arch's official language

http://ubuntuforums.org/ it works quite well ...
It's really a pity because I thought Arch would evolve in something nice ... something that any user can use.
Why don't people use Kiwi Linux ...it's ubuntu no? Because it's a Romanian distro !!!

I can't handle this. Had enough problems getting the Euro symbol working on my keyboard. Now I can't seem to find the umlaut key at all. I'm going back to Ubuntu!!

Since Arch is Canadian, I would have expected that French would be the official language. There are more Quebecois on the private mailing list than Germans.
