I removed the ALSA stuff since it consumed insane amounts of CPU.

Here's the script that displays the wireless speed. The one for wlan0 is similar (I wasn't sure whether I could pass parameters to a ${exec}, so I used a different script for each interface).

#!/bin/bash
# ~/scripts/conky_wifi_ath0
iwconfig ath0|grep Rate|cut -d"M" -f1|cut -b20-24

A big part of this was shamelessly stolen from someone on the Ubuntu forums tongue.

Can anyone explain the gap in the right side of the bottom of the screen? It only happens when there's an even number of terminals in the "slave area".

this is due to the fact that terminal window sizes are dependent on the size of the rows and columns of the font.  dwm used to have a fix for this called RESIZEHINTS.  not sure if it exists in newer builds of dwm.

If you want the border around the modules to be fully transparent, right click --> 'Appearance' --> 'Plain' for each one.
