Using adesklets, a gdesklets-like program you can use to run desklets...like gdesklets, only the desklets are writtenn in python, so basically I have all those desktop addons created with python, including pypanel.  Urk!

The app in the lower left corner is elicit from E17's CVS.

The theme is TropicRed.

A plain E17 screenshot, using default theme and background and showing IBar, Pager and Clock modules. I love it just like it is 
Icons in the IBar are from everaldo's Crystal SVG, the default in KDE.

(Question: how do you generate a menu for E17? Is there any sort of menu generator, or do you have to do it manually?)

You can try e17genmenu (http://sourceforge.net/projects/e17genmenu), an app which converts KDE or Gnome menus to the E format
