I noticed you have your taskbar hidden as well. I just removed my taskbar altogether in ".config" section. Who needs that dumb thing anyway...
I like the apps you're running too. I've been ripping DVDs like the world's gonna end. Unfortunately, I occasionally get some error if ripping a chapter over 3 gigs, but, that's another story...
i tried getting rid of the taskbar, but then i can't seem to function without it. a holdover from my windoze days, i guess.
isn't dvd::rip awesome??? i would hate to think of doing all this encoding from the command line. i love that app.
i don't know about the 3gig problem, none of my chapters have been that big yet. have you checked the doom9 forum?

Do you load gnome-panel instead of xftaskbar??
If yes, do you have to have all those gnomish dependencies installed to use gnome-panel, coz it looks cool.

that looks really nice! makes me wanna try again to have those shadows and everything
btw, I don't use gnome-panel.. it's the normal xfce4 panel.. just removed a couple of those "starter" arrows.
btw, does anyone know if there is a wallpaper rotation option for xfce4?
ArchLinux (x86_64) w/ kdemod
Offline
Mith: The shadows are done using xorg 6.8 or 6.8.1.
As with Xfce's wallpaper rotation, I think it was introduced in 4.2, not sure though
Offline
@Mith:
To have a wallpaper rotation go to Setup-->Desktop-->Backdrop, choose 'Show Image' and under the 'File' entry there are two options: 'New List' and 'Edit List'.
Just edit the list and that's all.
btw. I wanted to know what kind of taskbar you have at the top of your screen. I was puzzled, because I'm running standard Xfce4 taskbar and it looks different from yours, mine looks crappy. So I thought it's sth else, anyway great stuff.
Offline
@ Dreameen
seriously it's just the standard taskbar, with autohide and placed on top of the screen. maybe my window decoration does the trick. I used "elberg" during that screenshot and now I use "gorilla" looks the same here
I'd love to use 4.2 but I am sort of scared of the "beta" so hmmm :?: :?:

I'm using the beta and to be frank, there are some bugs, like :
-OO isn't working,
-opera launches on 3rd atempt,
-few others...
It's not worth changing right now. I'm actually thinking about downgrading and waiting till a stable release. The new Beta requires a bit more memory as well. Well, you've been warned, but the choice is up to you.
