I want your dock.

I've got it installed, but I can't find any themes --- is yours custom?  Also, what is your desktop icon theme, I like it smile

Thank you much for this screenie, it is exactly what I was looking for in a setup.  I've been looking a long time.

I saw that theme on gnome-look the other day looks like you have to replace each icon in the dock with those since its not a cairo-dock theme.
some cairo dock stuff in the comments there.

Talk about speedy service smile

I can't wait to show this off - it looks like Cairo is EXACTLY what I've been looking for - an animated dock with flyouts that I can use to quickly categorize all my apps.

Re: June 2008 Screenshots

This is a WIP of a new Fvwm conf (yeah, I was tired of pekwm really fast...)
I'm doing it on a VM and I can't get the sound to work... so I guess I'll put it back on my laptop resolution (1280*800) once it'll be done...

It's not finished yet (still have to put some Buttons here and there especially for the clock)
I'm also working on a new GTK theme (you can see a preview here, it's changing a lot from I've done before...)
Also, a bit of conky would be nice I guess...

Any good links to learning fvwm ? I've been meaning to try it, but I'm just too lazy/too comfortable with openbox...

But your desktop looks pretty good! Another reason to try FVWM...

Hi,
first of all: Your config looks pretty nice ;-)

I'm new here and also work on a config for FVWM.
Is it possible that you post your FVWM config ;-)

Greetings

Brilliant, matches perfectly now that I've gone back to a simple clearlooks set up. The logo needs a bit of work though, since the grey text doesn't stand out or work very well with the blue background. Changing it to white might work better.

vim? EMACS? Pssh, I code in Scribus.

Thanks !
Here's a small list of well done tutorials for beginners :
http://www.zensites.net/fvwm/guide/
http://ironphoenix.org/tril/fvwm/configs/
http://fvwm.lair.be/viewtopic.php?t=1425

The best way to learn afterwards is to analyze some configs (many can be found here : http://fvwm.lair.be/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1700) and then to come up with modifications and see the result(s). Then you'll be able to start a config from scratch.

Thanks a lot. I can't post it right now (it's on my other laptop on a VM). Moreover it's a simple mess right now and would not be of much help.
However, you can download one of my configs here : http://pimpmoth.deviantart.com/art/Toba … 7-65895728
Just click on Download and rename the file with .tar.gz extension

I'll be posting this one on DA once I'm done...

Not much has changed...too busy with other stuff.

Openbox (1977 GTK and Obtheme)
Wallpaper: modified version of "diagonal" (Does anyone know the original author?)
pypanel, conky, etc.

Update: I've released the wallpaper, or at least a similar version of it: http://cinderwick.ca/projects/archminimalist/
