Hey Crouse, I already have an archlinux.us email, but in things like google talk or google docs, my name appears as memeber vrekk, and I can't figure out how to change it for the life of me. Any Ideas?

I already tried that, it works for gmail, but not for things like Google Docs. For example, if I put a comment in a Doc it says that it is added by member vrekk at whenever. Its more annoying then anything because my teachers keep asking who member vrekk is

Hi crouse,

First of all thanks for the wonderful job you are doing for the community.
Currently I can't login to archlinux.us through browser or email clients. Maybe the server is down?
Anyway, my concern is that will there be any time that this email service is denied or stopped without notice? I have a few important emails so I'd forward a copy of each email to another account.However if this service is stopped then I won't be receiving many important emails.

By the way, does one receive a suspension info by email when this happens? I'm using my account regularly for both imap and google talk/jabber, but I rarely log into the webmail. But I guess it will be obvious when imap stops working...

That's a really wonderful contribution! When they become available again, I'd like to get me one, but unless I'm mistaken I'll just have to be patient

In the mean time, how did you go about setting this up? I'd be interested in doing it for an organisation of my own if possible. I'm not particularly comfortable with dabbling with mail servers of my own, either, nor is there enough space for fifty or so 7GB+ mailboxes on my hosting package, so something like this would be excellent.

After my windows box got security breached I had a frantic password-changing session and in the end spaced out the password for my earlier account, austin@-- I'm pretty sure the account will be disabled by now. Could I either get help with password recovery or aallen@ if you're still doing this?

Hey crouse,

A small request: I think Google Apps has an option to enable "mail.___.com" or "docs.___.com" for services that they provide; is there any chance you could activate this for archlinux.us? It would save a couple hundred clicks a year for an active user whenever they log in to the web interface 8-).
