Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.

Re: September 2008 Screenshots

froli and moljac024, the font i use for both conky and fluxbox theme is nu. it's in the artwiz-fonts package.

and kernel_script, the panel is just a regular fluxbox panel.

Re: September 2008 Screenshots

Why won't nu, smoothansi, snap and other similar fonts resize for me ? Whatever size I give them, they always use the same one (which is small). Why is this and can they be enlarged somehow ? I'm too busy to investigate this in detail right now, so if someone knows, please do tell.

It's because they're bitmap fonts made in only one size.

I thought it was something like that. So, how do I resize them ? Is there a nice app for that ? I do have fontforge installed, I could try that...

You don't. Pixel fonts are made to look good at the original size, and nothing else...

Re: September 2008 Screenshots

xfce4, darklooks:

0908-lt_th.jpg

if anyone can help - I modded an xfwm4 theme, but as you can see on the top left corner of thunar, I couldn't figure out how to preserve the semi-transparency while saving it, so there's no black line where there should be. the whole corner either just turns completely transparent, or white. tongue can any gimp guru tell me how to do that?

Heh, sweet. I love your background. Btw, are you using a netbook or something? Your screen size seems awfully small.
