so yeah been playing with awesome 3 for the past few days, got my widgets practically identical to what they were before, and using eminent (dynamic tags are great).

What task manager is that krib? It looks like tint to me, but I think tint has no tray?

I'm not sure this is the setup for me yet, but I've been rocking it for about two days.  First time I've actually put the granny wallpaper to use, though I've had some saved for quite a while.  I find it very neutral and easy on the eyes, and I've kind of decided I like layouts that use greens and blues most, though I switch it up from time to time.

The theme had some nice and soft shadows, but they conflict with Conky and make it look baaaaaaad, and I can't find a way to exclude a specific window (like the window rules compiz plugin) from emerald, so I just removed the shadows.

Turns out... My favorite GTK theme didn't even have its theme engine installed... Ha! I liked it better that way I think, but it's still nice.

I must say that's one helluva looking gnome desktop. Those icons looked so good for a moment that I though to myself "why did I stop using desktop icons?" I just got a big urge to click on one of them

What fonts are you using for the icons and for the window titles ? They're great!
