Tried it, but found it rather cumbersome. Might be just me but nothing really felt logical. I couldn't get unicode to work either.

finally almost set up arch and openbox as I want it, all that is needed now is conky, but that'll be another day.

One and Two
All credit goes to Sen for the conky config and the fonts. I merely adapted his downloadable config to my needs/wants (removed and added some things).

sorry mate! i completely forgot to reply earlier! regarding fonts in firefox, i didn't do nething special. all i did was change the default font setting in firefox under preferences to liberation sans 16. thats all. the general font settings were also not overtly played around with . i use system settings for anti aliasing and force fonts to 96dpi, with subpixel smoothing and slight hinting.

After seeing your screenshot, I reinstalled the liberation fonts and I liked them. Before (around one year before) they weren't this good.

Great! they also luk nice as application font. i got neutra fonts only yesterday so changed the app fonts for the time being!
