wow ive never heard of this site untill i stumbled across this thread today

it looks like a really cool idea except...

there should be a way to scan through the screenshots by DE / WM and keep all of each users files grouped

for instance i should be able to search for fluxbox screenshots only, and get them grouped by user (because most people will want to upload more then one shot of each desktop, like one for clean and one for dirty)

i think this would help organize the site alot better, because right now it just looks like a bunch of different DE's and users all jumbled together and its really messy

Looks like festis hasn't posted here since 10-12-2008 nearest I can tell.
I could put up a site similar, that's really not hard to do at all, but I'd prefer if festis would continue what he started as it actually looks like he had a great idea and it had started to take off.
I think I'll give him an email nudge and see what happens. 5-1/2 to 6 months and no activity, doesn't seem quite right after taking the time and money to invest into a site. Off to send an email...

I emailed festis, and he emailed me back after a couple days. He said he simply doesn't have time for taking care of it, and is willing to point his domain to someone else's website/and or (maybe?)transfer the domain. So it doesn't appear that he will be able to fix the spam problem, so it would appear to me something else has to change.

Anyone here care to take him up on his offer ???

I've contacted festis about possibly taking over this project. Hopefully when he gets back to me I can start working on it.
