ofcourse i do have screens there as well. i do post my screens in most linux forums with different ids as such. don't get worked up mate! so if u don't post Arch screens ur not welcome here or what? whats this thing about our forum and ur forum and such?i don't like simply lurking around here and post nothin. by being active here i was able to get some nice gtk, icon and WP links from other folks here, and i have linked some stuff requested by other ppl as well. and OS wars are of absolutely no interest to me. so stop whining mate!:D

Hey, look, I'm not trying to start an OS war, not even close. I expressed no opinion whatsoever about Lunar Linux. I'm not whining, either. It was only a question. It just strikes me as odd that you would post screenshots on...a lot of different forums, you say, for Linux distributions you don't even use. Like, I wouldn't go and register on the openSUSE forums and start posting screenshots there, because I use Arch, not openSUSE. But whatever you want to do. I was just curious.

sorry if i was a little harsh mate. as i said earlier, i visit a lot of linux forums just because irrespective of the distros the desktop environs, and configs are all the same, so one might find interesting stuff in different forums. i have learnt a lot about some cool  programs rite here in Arch forums that i never knew about before. likewise i have gathered some info in other places which i didn't find here. thats the deal here. and i have never talked about lunar or nething else here other than staying ontopic so i found it strange that i was asked a question like dat. besides in an open community like ours, i just felt such an assumption was weird, thats all. sorry about that again!:)

Ok, thank you. Interesting, I never considered it like that. Maybe I should try it sometime. big_smile

That wallpaper was featured in several Dec screenshots. Browse the other pages for a link to the designer's site.

Re: December 2008 Screenshots

Acer Aspire One, came with XP, I tried to bear with it, but I couldnt.
Openbox, tint, trayer.
I was considering awesome, but 1024*600 is just too small for a tiling WM.

It's actually two config files because as far as I know there is no way to vertically center text in Conky unless you use a seperate config file and do some tricky gap_y work. The part with all the system stuff is this:

own_window yes
own_window_type desktop
own_window_transparent yes
own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager
double_buffer yes
use_spacer none
use_xft yes
override_utf8_locale yes
xftfont glisp
update_interval 1.0
draw_shades no
draw_outline no
draw_borders no
stippled_borders 0
border_margin 0
border_width 0
default_color c0c0c0
own_window_transparent yes
minimum_size 1 1
maximum_width 1440
alignment top_left
#alignment top_right
alignment bottom_left
#alignment bottom_right
gap_x 162
gap_y 35

TEXT
${color 303030}CPU:${color} ${cpu}% ${color 303030}Mem:${color} $memperc% ${color 303030}Down:${color} ${downspeed eth0}Kb/s ${color 303030}Up:${color} ${upspeed eth0}Kb/s

and the config that outputs the 18DEC you see in my screenshot:

own_window yes
own_window_type desktop
own_window_transparent yes
own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager
double_buffer yes
use_spacer none
use_xft yes
uppercase yes
override_utf8_locale yes
xftfont ITC Avant Garde Gothic Std:size=40
update_interval 1.0
draw_shades no
draw_outline no
draw_borders no
stippled_borders 0
border_margin 0
border_width 0
default_color c0c0c0
own_window_transparent yes
minimum_size 1 1
maximum_width 200
#alignment top_left
#alignment top_right
alignment bottom_left
#alignment bottom_right
gap_x 0
gap_y 13

TEXT
