Re: December 2008 Screenshots

Trying something new and can't be arsed to figure out new awesome config syntax every time atm smile

i know this probably isnt the best place for me to ask, but do you guys think awesome will change the syntax again?

i mean i read the wiki and the website but by the sounds of it they are planning on just sticking with lua

the reason i ask is because i just installed awesome like three days ago and i am just now getting everything all configured and themed the way i want it, it would be a huge disappointment if the syntax gets changed again

If you are using awesome-git then yea there have always been small changes quite often but no I don't think they will move away from lua.

Not if you don't want to update the config a lot when there are syntax changes but then there will be other new things to benefit from as well so it's your choice

Can you share your configs (xmonad and the bar app you're using?  As a fellow eee user I love your setup.  Thanks!

I would be happy to share my files if you like.  However, I may be a little slow to respond.

Featuring a couple photos I took in the Hudson Valley - to the far left and in the slideshow I'm working on.

WM: Compiz standalone with compiz-deskmenu and devilspie
Font: Myriad Pro Regular size 12
GTK: Custom (BDM8401)
Emerald: Custom (BMD8401-Mac)
...also contains two conky configs with gnome panel running along the bottom

Amazing dark theme! One of the best! Simple and elegant! Would you please sharing the gtk theme as well as the emerald one so that I can port it to pekwm? lol
