Try to replace

nameserver 212.159.006.009
nameserver 212.159.006.010

with

nameserver 212.159.6.9
nameserver 212.159.6.10

You could also try to use another DNS server:

nameserver 206.13.28.12

It's too late for any of that...

Grub says Unknown device string, amongst other things, and will not boot.

I am going to bed.

I will try to reinstall Arch from the CD in the morning. Maybe you were right Windtalker- it was the install itself.
