XFCE.
I don't understand why people bother with Gnome + Compiz when XFCE's native compositing is SO much lighter.

Re: January 2009 Screenshots

I'm mostly running XP on my main computer because I got a ATI HD4870 and I wanted to play all the games. (Crysis, Fallout, GTA4, Farcry2, Mass Effect, Mirror's Edge)

untitled-1463.jpg

But also got a monitor for an old Pentium 3 I had, so now I use it as a music player. I've setup synergy and it's awesome to control 2 computers with 1 mouse and keyboard. Here it is, custom gtk & open theme and Eikon icons.

My Arch Linux setup is running great and hasn't changed, so I decided to post this: using Vista x64 to host OpenBSD inside of Virtual PC 2007. And since OpenBSD supports Virtual PC's emulated network card, I am even able to login via OpenSSH using PuTTY.

cool

And why are you posting Windows shots here? This section is provided to help Arch users get their set up looking good.

It's unix related, and no different than when Archers post screenshots on the Ubuntu forums.

Besides, where does it say in your linked topic that this is only for Arch Linux screenshots?

The only good thing xmonad offered above awesome was resizable clients in slave area, which awesome now does as well (and even better). In my experience awesome is also alot faster, and I didn't like the fact of having to use external apps to get an inferior statusbar. tongue

Anyway, what's that firefox theme you're using? big_smile

Oh okay, im finding XMonad to be much faster and much more stable overall, many modules(contrib) with more layouts, actions, hooks and the documentation for all the extensions is nicely done. Also using dzen and conky is fine. But still ill give Awesome on the lappy a hack and borrow more of your configs to help wink  The FF theme is Whitehart.
