Re: February 2009 Screenshots

I keep coming back to this setup: Carbon Openbox theme, Candido Carbon GTK, Baltimore wallpaper. It's weird because this has never happened to me before; I'm usually really fickle when it comes to themes and I'm constantly changing.

Anyway... http://g.imagehost.org/view/0878/Feb09

I noticed the font of "1:main" has a shadow. That looks very nice. How did you do that?

Anyone know?

well, I was just playing a bit with it, I don't think I really like it but ...
it's the hp mie interface. I grabbed the necessary files from their deb repo with a quick PKGBUILD. The theme is called glassy-bleu I believe, the launcher thing is called harbour-launcher and makes use of elisa for the multimedia things on the right (I did not configure that so it looks a bit empty).

Re: February 2009 Screenshots

Don't see too many orange themes so I decided to be an odd ball.

screenshot1vm8.th.png

I am using dwm-5.2 along with dmenu-3.9. In the first screen shot, to the left, I am using firefox-3.0.5 with rein, and to the right, I am using pidgin-2.5.4 from the repos. I do not use any file manager and the status bar at the top comes with dwm.

With tiling managers, you don't often see your wallpaper other than when you turn on or turn off your computer, if you do happen to do that.. I do.

Heh, sorry. I was editing my post to put a bit more information in there. It's rein.

Edit: I like to edit stuff. By the way, I used to use your blue archlinux background for http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57742&p=1. Great job on it! I used it for a very long time. smile

Re: February 2009 Screenshots

I am using a new color scheme and fonts.

The font left is proggyclean and the font right is proggytiny. Both use the Japanese characters from Sucharaka which has very cool  blocky-style kana.

It is a bit tricky, but it is possible to bin e.g. the Openbox-menu into the PyPanel.

Re: February 2009 Screenshots

Using dwm after a long time, on my FreeBSD7.1 laptop. Trying to configure the setup to match with my Xdefaults. Not completely satisfied, but getting there I guess. I think I will stick with this wallpaper since I have similar colors in my Xdefaults. That reminds me, I need to find a way to make room for my SwordFishII model on my desk. Cowboy Bebop FTW!
