he means that he want the transparent mc, you need to add
oh, that's just from using mc in a transparent urxvt. i just open urxvt and type in mc -b (the -b gets rid of that stupid dork color).

is that conky on the bottom (for the log/update?) if so, can you post that section?

yea, it's gnome-main-menu! you can choose it at the panel-configuration! the menu-entrys in the panel are provided by gnome2-globalmenu from AUR!
Hey msart2k, lovely shot! In case I get an external monitor with a higher resolution than XGA I might just try exactly your config.
About globalmenu: Did they manage to get firefox running like that? I know that some time ago globalmenu was working only with GTK apps, which is somewhat annoying not to have a coherent solution for all applications - and Firefox' menu just wouldn't show up there.
Funny that Mozilla manages to provide an integration with MacOSX' global menu, but not to give, say, an interface for Linux.
danke!
globalmenu funktioniert auch weiterhin nur mit gtk-apps. hast recht - wäre schön es würde auch für mozilla-apps eine integration geben!

mmm... I think you didn't understand me... I meant that my gnome-main-menu has a little white triangle that looks very ugly and yours not... Like in this screenshot:

I'm sorry that the image is hosted at imageshack, but it's not mine, I just found it on google...

Another great one. Looks really cool.
Any chance you will share the full details of your config with us, Breakage? (Xfce, gtk theme, icon, Xdefaults).

i can't locate in your configs what you do to get that grey vim line numbers...

Linenumbers should be enabled by default, no? The fact they're grey is just because of the theme.

the color scheme set the color of the line numbers so I don't think that Gigamos vimrc will help.
You can add some thing like this to your vimrc that should do what your looking for
hi LineNr guifg=#999999 guibg=#333333 gui=none ctermfg=0 ctermbg=8 cterm=none

It's a selfmade port of twilight.vim to work with 256 color terminals.

try to change the menu-icon: http://www.marksanborn.net/linux/changi … menu-icon/
Nop, it doesn't work. I mean, it changes the icon but the immortal triangle is stille there... After some deeper googling I think i have to recompile the applet changing a line in the source code... But thanks anyway.

You need to customize the syntax highlighting definitions in .geany/filedefs
