How did you get terminus to display your hostname and junk like that?

Your terminal prompt is controlled by the PS1 line in your ~/.bashrc file (~/.bash_profile for root).
Here's my green one for user and red for root:

green:

export PS1='\[\033[0;32m\]┌─[ \[\033[0m\033[0;32m\]\u\[\033[0m\] @ \[\033[0;36m\]\h\[\033[0m\033[0;32m\] ] - [ \[\033[0m\]\t \d\[\033[0;32m\] ] - [ \[\033[0m\]\w\[\033[0;32m\] ]\n\[\033[0;32m\]└─[\[\033[0m\033[0;32m\]\$\[\033[0m\033[0;32m\]]>\[\033[0m\] '

red:

export PS1='\[\033[0;31m\]┌─[ \[\033[0m\033[0;31m\]\u\[\033[0m\] @ \[\033[0;36m\]\h\[\033[0m\033[0;31m\] ] - [ \[\033[0m\]\t \d\[\033[0;31m\] ] - [ \[\033[0m\]\w\[\033[0;31m\] ]\n\[\033[0;31m\]└─[\[\033[0m\033[0;31m\]\$\[\033[0m\033[0;31m\]]>\[\033[0m\] '

My server is the same, but instead of the hostname being blue, it's gold to differentiate it.

See the color bash prompt wiki article for more nifty ideas. smile

Re: March 2009 Screenshots

Now this is something fresh! It's better then previous attempts I must say.

However I use Clearlooks for years, and I'm happy with it. Firefox and Gajim are the only GTK apps on my desktop, for Gajim I already have a hybrid zenburn theme and for Firefox it would be pointless as all the web pages are white, this is already giving me grief as my web tag is killing me smile (and I don't want to force custom user styles to pages as it breaks half of them, i.e. this BBS becomes awful with that popular stylish script).

You need to install an RTFM interface.

I've already posted everything (with the exception of the info script) here: http://thinker-philosopher.deviantart.c … -115929381.  Be warned though, I'm not done with these configs and scripts yet, so things are still inefficient (I discovered FVWM only a few days ago!).  Needless to say, things may go wrong as well as the fact that I really only designed it around my computer.
