Nope never ascended but I got as far as clearing the Gnomish Mines, finished off the sokoban levels, killed medusa, killed everyone in the castle and then died in Orcus Town.

Oh boy, I must have talked to some pretty hardcore people in #nethack then....some have ascended so many times it is scary...

They are awesome and I know some of those guys smile
But I don't play for that long...only a few months and not all the time. I was more of a Diablo/Disciples fan ( "ascended" those about 5-10 times with every class smile) )

This would be my (hopefully) final Ratpoison setup.
Trying to get away from all the darkness that has plagued my screenies for years. I'm starting to like brighter setups smile
Screenie is Ratpoison + urxvt (with GNU screen) + rox + Firefox Vimperator (just started using it) + conky + trayer
GTK is MurrinaDuoClean and Icons "All Black"

You could check out Evilwm. It's very lightweight, there's not even a config file tongue

You could check out Evilwm. It's very lightweight, there's not even a config file tongue
