How do you make vim look so nice? I am using urxvt and can't figure out why me theme looks like crap. I have set the colorscheme you use (jellybeans, as on github), and I have also changed my urxvt colors (to yours as well....

Of course I have set vim to use 256 colors. My line numbering for instance is way too dark, I can barely see the numbers... Yours are so crisp. Also, your code's background is brighter compared to the rest... how?

I have installed the package. I still cannot see any line numbers with jellybeans vim colorscheme and your color scheme in Xdefaults. sad

I have set the same background and foreground color of course.....

Do I have to apply the patch they suggest on aur?

Are you running urxvtd + urxvtc? if so, you might want to restart urxvtd and check then, not sure if you did that/use that.

I am not using a specific vim theme. It is the default one. My .Xdefaults should give you the same colours in vim.

Re: March 2009 Screenshots

NeoXP,

the script you use for the calender is gcalcli and you can get it here http://code.google.com/p/gcalcli/

Then in your conky.rc put something like this

{font Zekton:bold:size=10}${color Tan1}GCal   5 day ${color Tan1} ${hr 2}
$font${color White} ${execi 300 /home/nephish/.conky/scripts/gcalcli --user=kerpow287 --pw=gpcalpw --nc agenda}

the --nc-agenda is the default calendar. but you can put a different one.
hope this helps.

NeoXP,

the script you use for the calender is gcalcli and you can get it here http://code.google.com/p/gcalcli/

Then in your conky.rc put something like this

{font Zekton:bold:size=10}${color Tan1}GCal   5 day ${color Tan1} ${hr 2}
$font${color White} ${execi 300 /home/nephish/.conky/scripts/gcalcli --user=kerpow287 --pw=gpcalpw --nc agenda}

the --nc-agenda is the default calendar. but you can put a different one.
hope this helps.

Thx,

I will also look into that one. In the meantime I also found in AUR something. With one of these 2 I'm sure I will get it working.

Hey you mind sharing your themes, xcompmgr settings, icons and Xdefaults? I know they are mentioned in the image, but they appear to be modified.

It's swift.

I did make the menu richer than necessary (for me), because I don't know why but my wife is drawn to my computer even though she has her own. Awesome isn't her cup of tea - I hear much screaming and yelling while she's exploring my awesomeness but she can't resist - and that's the story behind the menu.

Not much to show. I refined my terminal colors and made a 16-color vim colorscheme (I've spent too much time looking at and thinking of colors lately... but I'm done now), so that's basically all I can take a screenshot of. smile
