Just for the record: The original poster fixed his issues by using oss instead of alsa...

I have a weird problem with mpd, that does not appear when using other players. When trying to play a song I get the error:  "ERROR: problems deconding "Muzica/Beatles- Imagine.mp3". What could be the problem? Thank you
