Now this is how my desktop looks all day, terminal window open testing my code and then kate open editing it.

KDE4 is by far the best DE I have used and the most functional thing X wise for my laptop, over 4 years I have used all most every window manager / DE, kde4 just seems to be suited perfectly to my laptop and I love it!
