yes it did worked before.....

Hmm weird. i'll have a look at revision log and what happened in between.

I just installed the nvidia-beta and still the same error.... Im recompling xbmc to see....
Offline
Hmm that's weird - however you could easily edit the PKGBUILD to go to an elder revision (22517 for example - which works for me still on another machine)
Offline
nope doesn't work at all with nvidia-beta either even when I recompile it....
Offline
this is really weird, same error with 22517.....
Offline
OK, old revision was 22052 IIRC - how about that? I really cannot narrow this down - will have a look at the svn commits in between.
Offline
yeap, that's what I'm trying right now....
Offline
yeap, works fine with 22052 and now nvidia-beta....
Offline
Ok, thanks for the debugging - i'm trying to find the revision that broke - if you got the time and fun at compiling you could try to bisect revisions - i.e. take 22250 and look if it breaks, if no go further and so on...
Offline
lol ok, I'm going to try that one, do you want me to keep using nvidia-beta? (it did not look like it was related to that since it gave me the same error with both drivers)
Offline
If it works - why not i originally thought it was the stable nvidia because that's the only version i never had on one of my machines. I'm always running beta, but if stable works for you, i'd suggest you stick to it because it gets more support in Arch.
Offline
22250 works what's the next one?
Offline
well - simply divide the remaining revisions in two halfs - so between 22528 and 22250 are approx 280 revisions - bisect it (140 revisions) and try next with 22250 + 140 = 22390. If it still works go on and bisect between 22528 and 22390. That way you reach the buggy revision the fastest way.
Offline
lol sorry, but my english is not perfect, can you please tell me what version you want me to try exactly?
Offline
22390 if it breaks, take a revision between 22250 and 22390
Offline
22390 works next one?
I also get since 22052 an error at the start of XBMC:
Error
Python script failed:
special://skin/scripts/RecentlyAdded.py
But I also updated the skins that were updated that might be becaue of that?
Offline
Yeah, "recentlyadded" is a python script that comes with some skins - no xbmc specific feature.
Try 22470 then
Offline
22470 is good, what's next?
Offline
hmm - you say 22517 is bad for you - so try 22510
Offline
nope, that one does not work....
Offline
22490?
Offline
If you haven't tried yet - go with 22512 as i expect something in the next revision (which is 22516)
Offline
22510 does not work, I'm gonna try 22512 as you said....
Offline
22512 does not work either, the latest that works for me is 22470...... I hope I helped you with all that downloading from SVN
You might want to downgrade your package to 22470 since it looks like i'm not the only one having problems with this at least for now.....
