Re: Ghost1227's Desktop Workshop

Since Ghost didn't have a fair Square beginning (no pun intended), this challenged was delayed further to finding another wallpaper.

Now... let the showdown with Ghost1227 v.s. Square Begin!!

TIME LIMIT: 2 hours

1280x1024

1920x1080

Whose desktop will beat the best? Lets find out!!

Re: Ghost1227's Desktop Workshop

I'm going to stop here and submit my screenshot.
I'm not proud of the conky and panel, but they do fit. Those are my weaknesses >.> The conky only displays time (that looks really good!), and the panel... well... simple pypanel. tongue
This was a tough one, and I hope to have more head-to-heads with ghost big_smile

EDIT: I'm gonna cheat and post another shot with a little transparency to the panel and posed screen like Ghost's tongue

Configs

p.s. If only we had stuck to the mario... that one looked good! tongue

I'm wondering what you'll do scheme wise with something more diverse and abstract. Yes, my contribution: http://wall.alphacoders.com/big.php?p=A … jpg&i=8788 . No specifics. Go crazy. In fact, crazier = better. Crazy in that things are crazy subtle.

The thing I love about all these themes is the versatility of tint2 <3

With a question like that, you are asking for it.

Also I'm cooking up another challenge, so be prepared. big_smile

Re: Ghost1227's Desktop Workshop

Because this is a workshop thread I hope I can also ask something about tint2.
I'm trying to build my first theme and I have a problem getting 2 tint2 with different configs working.

My ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh:

# This shell script is run before Openbox launches.
# Environment variables set here are passed to the Openbox session.

. $GLOBALAUTOSTART
# Set a background color
feh --bg-center /data/pictures/Ed/edsvirus1280x960.jpg &

(sleep 1 && tint2 -c /home/alw/.config/tint2/clock_rc & xfce4-power-manager & tilda & tilda -c /home/alw/.tilda/config_1 ) &
(sleep 1 && xscreensaver & tint2 -c /home/alw/.config/tint2/task_rc) &

It should start 2 tint2 panels but there is only one panel started with default config.

What is wrong?

I got it working smile this way:

(sleep 1 &&  tint2 -c /home/alw/.config/tint2/task_rc & xfce4-power-manager & tilda & xscreensaver & tilda -c /home/alw/.tilda/config_1 ) &
(sleep 1 && tint2 -c /home/alw/.config/tint2/clock_rc) &

Nice and simple, but I love the colors in this one. Hopefully everyone else will love them as much as I do.
