For those who don't know, (no one seems to use this in their shots) but scrot has a -t <size> option.  It's short for --thumb <size> where <size> is the percentage of the thumbnails size. smile

Re: July 2009 Screenshots

I just finished this a little while ago, and I'm going to publish all the source materials and configs when they're cleaned up a bit.  Check my blog post for more information now, and all that information when it comes.  I've entitled this "Moar Conky!", as that pretty much sums it up.

Brief summary: OpenBox, Tint2 for panel/clock, Trayer for systray,GIMP and Inkscape for design, original laptop photo from Flickr, device icons from KDE, Conky for... well, LOTS of Conky.  Proper attributions are in the linked blog post, and everything else was my own work.

Re: July 2009 Screenshots

i'm a fan of dark themes, but i decided to add a bit of Macintosh flavor to my desktop. for a change, you know.
it's only a mac-spiced fluxbox, this is not exactly a Mac theme smile
ff208a46686et.jpg
by the way, i still couldn't find a way to make tint2 non-transparent. i edited ~/.fluxbox/apps and added a block for tint2 similar to other blocks, changed Alpha to 255, but it took no effect.

it was made by one of my fellow *nix users... i hope the license is GPL smile

a rather long forum post with moljac and lifeafter2am got me switched from xmobar to dzen2.  it's one dzen bar on the left accepting dynamicLogPP output and another on the right piped from conky.

i do miss xmobar's colorizing of med/high cpu/mem/network levels, and ugency hooks don't work quite the same way in dzen... but i'm happy with this.  check the xmonad.hs on my dotfiles page for the setup.

Can you post your dmenu configuration with what colors you run dmenu?

static const char normbordercolor[] = "#000000";
static const char normbgcolor[]     = "#1994d1";
static const char normfgcolor[]     = "#ffffff";
static const char selbordercolor[]  = "#000000";
static const char selbgcolor[]      = "#000000";
static const char selfgcolor[]      = "#ffffff";

These are teh colors I use, the 1994d1 is "Arch Blue."  And yes its conky piped into DWM status bar.

And thank for the fix.

The screenshot info is generated by this this script. I don't use it as /etc/issue though.
