I really like this theme.. also I really injoyed PekWM it's much like my old Beloved Fluxbox.. w/many neater perks. wink..
though, i always fall back to WMii after awhile ;-)

PekWM is a king among non-tiling window managers (IMO). I use it the same way I did with OpenBox (my second favorite WM) - I ignore advanced options of it, such as pseudo-tiling windows management.
Things that I really like in it are:
- pixmap-based themes, they are easy and fun to make (that's why I'm making so many ports lately)
- simple config files syntax
- light and fast (comparable to OpenBox and much more responsive than Fluxbox)

Thing that suck so far is bad xcompmgr support.

PekWM shows big advantage of Arch Linux - quick availability of fresh packages. This WM is one of those things I want to have as fresh as possible (but still I use regular release, not GIT).

I always wanted to try PekWM but when I did I found the default mouse behaviour incredibily irritating..I want the right-click menu to behave the same way as in Openbox and as far as I know I couldn't get it just right.

Actually you can get it to behave exactly like Openbox. Look for Urukrama's blog and he has some good info on how to get PekWM to behave at first.

My Tip: Scroll over the desktop seems sluggish next to openbox's because the trigger is "ButtonRelease". If you change it to "ButtonPress", it switches instantly, like I like.

Nothing fancy, conky with album cover.

Is this with MPD, or is it another player that Conky gets the info from (talking about the cover art stuff, I've just googled it and first hit talks about rhythmbox and conky).

I believe that's MPD. Notice the Sonata-playing icon in the bottom left corner.

Re: August 2009 Screenshots

Just got a Dell Mini 10v! Great machine - silent, nice keyboard. Anyway, here's my first screenshot on it:

Nice and simple: pypanel and openbox. OB theme is xfzen blue. The background is a photo I took of some bugs taking care of business, then I gimpified it (obviously).

Remember to get darcs version along with the contrib package. I had to compile the darcs version myself because switching between the binary packages seems to cause some issues.
