Please update the kernel26-drm-radeon-testing.
Patches in branch drm-radeon-testing-pm2 have been merged into branch drm-radeon-testing.
So now kernel26-pm can be removed from the repo.

I know. And there are some new features: More Radeon Power Management Improvements

@ Perry3D
You have applied patches from http://people.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/pm3/ or not?

If you look at the log of the drm-radeon-testing branch you can see that these patches are already applied: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/g … 4fda3350ab
Or do i miss something?

I am on kernel26-pm and latest git drivers from gtxlocker repo. I cannot start KDM anymore.

I think this is gtklockers fault
He installed xorg 1.8 on his system and compiled the driver against this version. I talked to him a few minutes ago and we will fix this soon.
And i propose to switch to kernel26-drm-radeon-testing instead of kernel26-pm. It is useless now cause the patches were merged into kernel26-drm-radeon-testing.
/edit: I updated the repository. I hope it works again

Gtklocker already removed it from the repo.
Did you update your system? Is it working?

After the current upgrade I still have to use xf86-video-ati-git-20100424-1-x86_64 as the latest version continues to have the same effect of messing up my display (hd2600pro) with or without xorg-server 1.8.
I used to be surprised that I was still surprised by my own stupidity, finding it strangely refreshing.
Well, now I don't find it refreshing.

Xorg 1.8 currently makes my r700 freeze at random.
There is a bug report for it.
Just an FYI

My machine just froze. It doesn't do that, so I'll go back to xorg-server 1.7 & see how things go.
Thanks for posting that info' insanemal.

I installed a i686 chroot on my system and compiled the packages for it. Be careful, it is my first try

NP.
I did notice the bug report mentions Blender, I would have to a guess that he doesn't use compiz however. As I don't run blender but I do composite like there is no tomorrow. It does seem to be less for him with KMS I think. Kinda a show stopper for 1.8 leaving testing tho.

I'm having a problem with resuming from suspend, but I'm using switcheroo:

Hmm, I'm using xorg-server 1.7 now, & my machine just froze again? This is the first time since I changed from using 1.8. It looks like perhaps the problem is due to the dev' versions of kernel & such that I'm using for the benefit of the ATi GPU. Also, I never use Compiz of the like.

I have similar card (HD2600XT) to yours, handy, and for me everything is working (almost) well.
Those lines you've posted as I remember showed when I set radeon.dynpm=1 with kernel26-pm (32-bit).
Now I have kernel26-drm-radeon-testing (2010-04-28), mesa-r600-r700-git (it's in AUR; 2010-04-29), xf86-video-ati-git (2010-04-29). All 32-bit, all compiled by myself.
I'd forget, I have also Xorg 1.8 from [extra]. And none of your issues appears to me, although I haven't set radeon.dynpm=1 yet. I may test it in few minutes.
//
With dynpm set the line:
[drm] Requested: e: 80000 m: 70000 p: 16
is being added to dmesg.
//
By the way, I found two issues:
1. everything except mouse freezes when ALT+TAB doing switch (KWin effects)
2. strange behavior of any terminal in my system… It's like when I have two xterms they both shows the same. E.g. I open ncmpcpp (music player) in first xterm, then I open second xterm and the first one starts to show the content of the second xterm. When I click on the first xterm, then the second one starts to show the content of ncmpcpp (run in first xterm!). Almost the same happens to two Konsole from KDE4. Anyone maybe solved this strange and annoying issue?
Cheers.

Thanks pbnan, you have given me hope for my card. Though I still won't be surprised if Apple have crippled it some how for some strange reason that suited them at the time. Hopefully not.

I could say, that I'm using Xorg 1.8, kernel26-drm-radeon-testing and testing/xf86-video-ati - with Compiz my screen could freeze in any moment, but with Metacity and it's compositing - there is no problem. I've got Mobility HD 4570, so this must be problem between Compiz and Xorg 1.8.
