counter strike 1.6(on wine), works flawlessly( better than windows!)
I second that. Really love this game!

Street Fighter III - Third Strike: Mame - best 2d beat'em up ever!
SF III: 3rd Strike is a fighting game.

Hmm, the german wikipedia says, that SFII is also a beat'em up, the english wiki however, writes that beat'em ups are the side-scrolling ones like Double Dragon...
But there isn't a big difference between beat'em ups and fighting games, except you fight against one opponent at a time or against many....

There's not comparison!
The fighting games are technical and an excelent practice & timing are required, especially SF III: 3rd Strike and the parry technique!

Dragon Age : Origins
How to:
1) Buy the game (this is VERY important !)
2) Install the game (crash at the end ... this is normal ... )
3) Run winetricks strictdrawordering=enabled
4) Run winetricks d3dx9 vcrun2005 corefonts win7
5) Run the game and close it so the config file gets created
6) Open your ~/BioWare/DragonAge.ini and set "SoundDisabled" to 0
7) Enjoy
Unfortunately, it is necessary to apply a nocd patch to the executable to play with wine (I hate to do that ...).

Have played quite a few games over the years, but currently Heroes of Newerth and StarCraft II (Wine). Wine really has made the switch to Linux a lot easier when the occasional awesome Windows only game comes out.
