What's the [NEW] [1] found in the top left corner of each terminal?

As Lich has already said its urxvt tabs

Just add the following to .Xdefaults

urxvt*perl-ext-common: default,matcher,tabbed

!tab colors
URxvt.tabbed.tabbar-fg: 8
URxvt.tabbed.tabbar-bg: -1
URxvt.tabbed.tab-fg: 1
URxvt.tabbed.tab-bg: -1

Cool. I had no idea that was a feature of urxvt. Not sure I will use it but am playing with it at the moment. Think I need to read up on urxvt.

EDIT: man urxvtperl is useful.

Definatly worth checking out for general knowledge, but nowadays, a terminal multiplexer like GNU Screen or tmux is all you need, those tabs are useless.

Re: November 2009 Screenshots

Nothing much has changed; same custom GKT2 and Openbox theme. I updated and colourised Conky this afternoon, and have a slightly nicer screenrc and bashrc, but that's just about it.

I know that this is bringing this shot back from several pages ago, but I'd like to know how you're arranging your irssi windows like that.

it's weechat, I set up my windows similarly by having this in my weechat.conf

command_after_plugins = "/window splith 50;/window splitv 50;/window +1;/window splitv 50;/window +1;/window +1"

that would make four different windows in a grid.

Could you post your .conkyrc for me, please?  It's nice and simple.

For anyone who's interested, here's my ~/.conkyrc. Does anyone know how to make the date and time fields lower-case?

Thanks, it's called mint:
http://customize.org/openbox/52925

Although it's included in the openbox-themes package:

bojan ~ $ pacman -Ql openbox-themes | grep Mint
openbox-themes /usr/share/themes/Mint/
openbox-themes /usr/share/themes/Mint/openbox-3/
openbox-themes /usr/share/themes/Mint/openbox-3/themerc

To tell you the truth, I don't know either. I just started playing with it a few days ago after noticing a thread about it here on the bbs.

It's this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=84157

Openbox, with conky. Dark Arch forums theme using Stylish extension in Firefox.
Firefox has been hacked to put tabs above navigation bar, and is running compact menu2 extension as well. openbox runs undecorated.
