openbox, conky and a wallpaper i made (beat to death) from a color photo. i like having next nothing visible (most of the time) on my desktop (openbox's middle and right-click menus make that possible, at least as far as my usage goes).
(didn't i already post this? or, am i losing it?)
Yeah, you posted it in the XFCE pictures thread

@Reasons
It's the alternative view
You can swich to it with [ \ ] button
or put in your configuser_interface = "alternative"
Thank you, it looks way better IMO. More so with the visualizer.

What a coincidence! I was actually in the process of working on a reddish-brown theme for my entire desktop. (gave up though as it ended up being more red than brown - limited colours in certain apps)
I did manage to create a nice emacs theme, though (based on MutedBath)

@ootput, haha great. I was thinking of a "sepia" tune of my desktop. I was cheating... actually it was imagemagick who did the colors... lol... hey, why not post a screenie of that nice emacs theme you created?
Well... so I just made it up

Would it be possible to see the Xdefaults responsible for your last two screenshots? Great schemes!

Sure, I just cooked it up in the hope that they would play well with the sepia tone. Not too bad I guess

I really, really like the brown-ish theme of your desktop. It seems very smooth and easy on the eyes.
