That's a lovely color scheme. You may want to share, lots of color scheme freaks around here smile

@Jimi: This is what I use. Simple but it's all I need

#!/bin/bash
T='C'

echo -e "\n              40m   41m   42m   43m\
   44m   45m   46m   47m";

for FGs in '    m' '   1m' '  30m' '1;30m' '  31m' '1;31m' '  32m' \
           '1;32m' '  33m' '1;33m' '  34m' '1;34m' '  35m' '1;35m' \
           '  36m' '1;36m' '  37m' '1;37m';
  do FG=${FGs// /}
  echo -en " $FGs \033[$FG  $T  "
  for BG in 40m 41m 42m 43m 44m 45m 46m 47m;
    do echo -en "$EINS \033[$FG\033[$BG  $T  \033[0m";

Re: November 2009 Screenshots

jwcxz,

Pushing into off topic territory, but I have been working on a similar weather map pet project lately.
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=81052

The images from NOAA have a really simple color scheme that make them easy to manipulate.

Regarding the desire for transparency: (I have not implemented this yet) but my idea is to use mogrify (if possible) to switch the ocean colors to the same as the general map background , then set  that color to transparent (mogrify -transparent). Haven't experimented, but hopefully this would leave a sparse outline of the state borders and the radar data only, all other background info transparent.

Hopefully I will work on this sometime this week, I'm interested if you work something out with this!

I want to mess with the weather map more, though...  I'd like to make it so that the background map is almost nonexistant, leaving only the weather pattern overlay.  I wonder if I can use a reference (i.e. no weather patterns) and teach imagemagick to get rid of similar areas.

What widgets aren't working and what widget library are you using? Wicked (deprecated), Vicious, Obvious, or Bashets?

MPD, entropy, hddtemp, wifi, volume... almost all xD in Vicious. I've tried with this configs: http://git.sysphere.org/vicious/ but always get a lot of errors, maybe because i'm totally n00b with Awesome lol.
And maybe you or anyone can share your *.lua with those widgets activated and guide me a little bit roll.

Nothing special really.  I've picked up peices here and there.  Special thanks to Haxit and Taters for some of their configs.  The only thing I did really was create a bmpanel theme based off xpro for windows.

Have you tried Awesome?  It can be controlled with a mouse fairly well.

Anyhow - have you made available your bmpanel theme?  I like it!
